QL2 Exchange Bursary

Two dancers from STEPS’ Major Season each year are invited to perform in the QL2 Centre for Youth Dance annual Playhouse Season in Canberra. A bursary assists these dancers to cover costs associated with the month long exchange. Whilst on exchange, dancers have the opportunity to travel to Sydney and take part in workshops and master classes.

Interested members are required to complete an application form. The opportunity is awarded to current company members aged between 16 – 25 years who show outstanding commitment to the STEPS Major Season.

Regional Bursary

Two senior dancers, nominated by their School dance teacher, are selected to participate in a holiday Workshop programme with STEPS Youth Dance Company. The regional bursary covers STEPS project and membership fees, as well as provides financial assistance to contribute to travel costs and living expenses. Regional dancers are billeted with STEPS families if required.

The opportunity is awarded to current year 11 or 12 students who show outstanding commitment to dance at school. Selection criteria apply.
